One Year Health Agreement

The puppy being purchased is guaranteed to be current on vaccinations with first vaccination given at six weeks by a veterinarian. The Buyer agrees to take the puppy to be examined by a veterinarian with 48 hours (business days) of picking up the puppy or Buyer waives any and all health and genetic guarantees. Buyer understands that the puppy will need boosters of the initial vaccinations, generally spaced three weeks apart until the “puppy series” is completed, and then once annually thereafter. There are other vaccinations that are vital to your puppy’s health such as kennel cough and rabies.?You must ask your veterinarian about any vaccinations that your puppy will need and inform him/her of the ones that your puppy has already had. A health record is provided by Seller’s veterinarian.

Contagious Disease

If within two days of purchase, your veterinarian positively diagnoses the puppy as having a contagious disease that was definitely incubating at the time of purchase,
Seller will accept immediate return of the puppy and replace with another puppy as soon as one is available. Replacement puppy will be mutually agreed upon by both parties and will be of comparable quality. If you, the Buyer, choose to keep the puppy and have it treated by your vet, Buyer agrees that Seller will not be responsible for any medical expenses incurred. If the puppy dies under a veterinarian’s care (in hospital, not at home) within three days of purchase as a result of a contagious disease (i.e. parvo) that was incubating at the time of purchase, Seller agrees to replace the puppy. A written statement from the veterinarian detailing the problems must be provided, along with a signed release of information form and veterinarian contact information from Buyer, giving Seller permission to contact the Buyer’s veterinarian with any questions Seller may have.

Congenital Defect

This puppy is guaranteed until one year of age against fatal and life altering congenital disease which adversely affects the health of the animal.  This includes hip dysplasia which hampers a dog’s movement and natural gait and requires surgery to correct; kidney defect, heart defect, pancreas defect, spinal defect, and liver problems of a severe and life or altering nature. If the dog dies within this one year time frame, the Buyer will pay to have it autopsied to ascertain the reason.  Seller must be notified within two business days of the puppy’s death and within two business days of a licensed veterinarian’s determination from the necropsy and have two reports from two unassociated veterinarians stating the same problem, and Seller will provide a replacement puppy of equivalent value.  A puppy with a defect must be returned or euthanized with prior permission of the Seller to qualify for a replacement puppy. A returned puppy must be returned to the Seller in good condition, other than the specified problem at the Buyer’s expense.  No replacement puppy will be given if the puppy has been bred, spayed, neutered, or euthanized without Seller’s permission.  There are certain disorders that may be caused by environmental factors: for example, allergies, thyroid dysfunction, demodectic? mange, and other autoimmune disorders that are not covered by this guarantee.  Any physical problem which is or could be the result of injury or neglect is not covered by this guarantee.

This puppy is being sold with limited registration.? The Buyer may not breed this puppy but can register it.
